Staring: You!
Where: Epicenter of Headwear - Snapbacks, Senovážná 6, Prague
On Sunday, we opened the doors to the Snapbacks Customization Workshop — and it quickly became clear that this would not be a calm afternoon.
Full from morning till evening.
Music, concentration, sparkle of rhinestones, piles of pearls on the tables, and the gentle sound of the grinder in the background.
And you — the people who came to create.
Workshop video Recap
Non-Stop DYI energy
This was not any template-based course.
Everyone chose their own direction.
Gluing pearls and rhinestones onto a cap.
Ironing on patches.
Sanding the brim for a distressed effect.
Customizing the hat according to personal style.
We used simple techniques and tools that can be managed at home.
We showed the process, explained the basics, and then everyone started their own design.
And as soon as the gluing, combining, and experimenting began, it was clear that creativity works best at the moment when you just start.
Fitted caps ruled
Dozens of original custom pieces were created:
- New Era fitted caps 59FIFTY
- snapbacks
- most often New Era dadcaps
- trucker hats
- even mini caps – New Era keychains
The most popular were definitely fitted caps.
Each piece had a different signature style.
Some took a minimalist approach, others layered pearls and rhinestones until they were satisfied.
Slots ended, but some didn’t want to leave the workspace. And honestly — there was no need to rush.
The workshop was led by Tomáš Sonnini
The event was led by Tomáš Sonnini, whom some of you may remember as a former salesperson from our store – Epicentrum of caps.
It was right here that we once sold his iconic "horny" snapbacks with sewn-on horns.
Tomáš has many years of experience in customizing caps, and thanks to his own brand Spoilt Clothing, working with materials and details comes naturally to him.
During the workshop, he demonstrated techniques, advised on composition, and helped those who were unsure about their first step.
Thanks, Tom!
Just start. The rest follows.
Personalizing a cap is not an unattainable skill.
Get yourself some rhinestones, pearls, or patches, prepare your glue and tools — and begin.
You might not be completely satisfied the first time. Or it might captivate you more than you expect! You just have to start — the rest comes naturally.
And if you want to create with multiple people, where ideas flow from one table to another and more experienced ones give advice, we are already planning the next workshop.
