V 50. letech New Era představila siluetu 59FIFTY, která se stala součástí baseballové uniformy nejvyšší národní ligy MLB, a je jí dodnes. To vše v době, kdy byste na ulici člověka v baseballce nepotkali. Nebylo to zvykem. Kšiltovky patřily na stadion.
