Tenhle luxusní bomber připomíná proslulý přesun týmu Dodgers z Brooklynu do Los Angeles. V roce 1957 tým odehrál svoji poslední hru coby ještě Brooklyn Dodgers a další rok se už pyšnil názvem LA Dodgers, tak jak jej známe dnes. Tehdejší majoritní majitel se totiž hned z několika důvodů rozhodl přesunout Dodgers na dosud baseballem nepolíbenou západní část Spojených států amerických a to konkrétně do již zmiňovaného Los Angeles. Důvodů pro přesun bylo vícero – jedním z nich například bylo, že v LA dostal tým vyhraněné místo, kde si mohl postavit nový stadion. Dalším důvodem pak byly samozřejmě peníze, jelikož na západě USA v té době baseball nebyl vůbec rozvinutý, skrýval se tam obrovský potenciál a prostor k rozvoji. Nicméně fanoušci Dodgers přesun nesli hodně nelibě a strhla se velká vlna nevole. Není proto divu, že přesunutí Dodgers obsadilo titulky snad všech novin v USA.

About this brand
New Era
New Era is a family company that started in 1920 with hat manufacturing. In 1934, the family from Buffalo received an order for baseball caps for the Cleveland Indians team, marking the beginning of the modern history of the New Era brand, merchandising, and caps.
In the 1950s, New Era introduced the 59FIFTY silhouette, which became part of the Major League Baseball (MLB) uniform and still is today. This was at a time when you wouldn’t see people wearing baseball caps on the street. It was not customary. Caps belonged in the stadium. Only certain events in the 1980s and 1990s caused baseball caps to be worn by fans in the streets and by people in countries where baseball was not even close to being a national sport. And did you know that the NY embroidery on the cap is not directly a symbol of the city or state of New York, but of the New York Yankees baseball team?
