Oakley About this brand Oakley

Oakley

James Jannard started his brand Oakley by selling homemade grips for motocross and BMX handlebars. He made them in his garage and invested only 300 dollars in them.

From the trunk of his car, he sold them to riders at motocross races along with his practical and durable protectors. However, the biggest success was the grips themselves, for which he used his own blend of materials called Unobtainium (meaning "a secret ingredient that makes the material unique"). Today, this anti-slip rubber substance also covers most of the legs of Oakley glasses.

Later, one of the richest men in the world, Leonardo Del Vecchio, who leads the company Luxottica, which also owns the legendary Ray-Ban, acquired Oakley from him. Thanks to him, Oakley glasses and accessories have gained a reputation for luxury, and even though you pay extra for them, you will definitely be delighted by their high-quality sports design.
